Constellation Schools: Madison Community Elementary is an environment where the students are at the heart of every decision made. The staff at Madison is dedicated and work extremely hard each and every day to make sure that the students receive the individualized attention they deserve. Our class sizes at Madison cap at 22 per class. It is a priority to make sure that our students learn in an atmosphere that is safe, positive, welcoming and nurturing. It is a necessity to build positive relationships with our parents, families and community members. Our staff has high expectations for our students academically and socially. We as a staff want to teach our students how to be well rounded individuals who are prepared for college and career readiness when they leave us in eighth grade.
At Madison, we not only have physical education, art and general music; we also offer band courses for our fifth through eighth grade students. Our school participates in many different programs including but not limited to Power of the Pen, the Consef Science Fair, spelling bees, concerts and so much more. We provide opportunities for our students to receive tutoring services after school. We also have a program called Everybody Reads, where students have the opportunity to read for twenty minutes a day to an adult to enhance their fluency. We have many after school clubs that students participate in throughout the year such as: basketball, volleyball, yearbook, student council, sign language, and nutrition clubs. We also have our sixth and seventh graders attend a field trip to Cedar Point for their science days in May. Our eighth grade students work hard to fundraise to provide them the chance to attend a trip to Washington D.C. Madison has started a PSO, parent support organization. The parents at Madison are becoming more involved in our school with the intent to help our students succeed. We are very blessed and truly appreciate all of the hard work all of our staff, students and parents put into our school!
All Constellation Schools are public schools with no tuition. They are privately run, proud leaders of Ohio’s charter schools, offering a choice in education for thousands of Ohio’s families.
