Student Activities

Sign Language Club
Students meet on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 PM during the months of April and May. The club provides an opportunity for students in grades 3rd-8th to learn a new language. Students learn how to sign the alphabet, numbers, polite greetings and phrases, and songs in ASL!

Cooking Club
Students in grades 2nd-5th meet every other Friday with Ms. Sanniti to learn invaluable table manners and cooking skills They follow recipes and directions on the packaging, using different kitchen tools, measuring, safety and cleanliness. It is a wonderful outlet for social skills and teamwork along with introduction/exposure to daily living skills in the kitchen. The students prepare two to three simple food items and sit and enjoy eating them. We discuss healthy choices, various utensils/tools and how to properly use them.

Power of the Pen
Students develop high quality writing skills through the year long program. The 7th and 8th grade students then compete in a writing competition.

Flag Corp
Middle school students are eligible to participate in flag corps. Our flag is raised and lowered each day by a small team of students. They properly fold and store the flag in the evening.

Student Council
Student leadership opportunities help to boost skills and school spirit. It promotes a positive school environment with an understanding of government and civics.

Yearbook
Students work together to create the yearbook, providing a visual display of school year memories.

Volleyball
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to participate in co-ed volleyball. Students practice after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 PM. Games are scheduled for Saturdays against the other Constellation middle schools.

Basketball
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to participate in co-ed basketball. They practice after school to prepare for their season consisting of 8 games plus playoffs, played on Mondays and Saturdays against the other Constellation middle schools. The season lasts from December through February.

Cheerleading
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to participate in co-ed cheerleading. Practices take place in the gym, twice a week, after school. They attend the basketball games to cheer on our Mustangs!

Bowling
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to participate in co-ed bowling. Practices take place at an off-site location. Season runs from April to May.
